Hi everyone,

I am raising funds to support Janette Milera - a Kaurna Native Title holder, Narungga and Arabunna Woman, community leader, photographer and Founder of SA Aboriginal Action group as she represents First Nations perspectives on the global stage at COP 31 in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9th to 20th November 2026.

Janette has dedicated decades to grassroots advocacy and protecting Country. Her ongoing work spans from safeguarding Mound Springs on Arabunna Country to documenting and uplifting the South Australian Aboriginal community.

Recently, Janette has been at the forefront of the "Stop the Chop" movement, taking the South Australian Government to court to challenge the redevelopment of the North Adelaide Golf Course and protect sacred Park Lands. Her advocacy ensures that Indigenous knowledge, Native Title rights, sovereignty and environmental stewardship remain central to discussions on climate action and legal protections for Country.

While Janette’s core flights and accommodation are secured, attending an international summit of this scale comes with significant out-of-pocket costs. We are raising funds to cover essential travel incidentals, local transport, daily living costs and emergency buffers so she can focus entirely on her critical work at the conference.
