Bonjour! We are Clementine and Mori, two recent U.S. immigrants living in France.
We bought a 19th century chateau ruins in the fall of 2025 that we are working on restoring.
Château de Melzéard is inscribed locally as a historic landmark, and we want to do everything in our power to honor and share its history.
When we are ready to welcome the public to the château, we want it to be a place for the local and international community, where everyone feels welcome.
As members of the queer community, we are especially committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ people.
Mori brings to the project a background of photojournalism, farming, and woodworking/construction, as well as a strong artistic vision. Mori has self-taught many skills to restore and repurpose beautiful, functional household items.
Clementine brings years of experience serving communities as an administrator and teacher. She loves fostering inclusive, joyful spaces for authentic connection.
We are excited to take on this new adventure with your support!
