Our dear friend, Kim Loomis, was just diagnosed with breast cancer and needs financial support during this very challenging chapter of her life. She is an amazing person with such love for her three children and network of close friends. She's someone you can count on to be there for you if you are in need, even if it's just a shoulder to cry on.

Kim is now preparing for a treatment journey, which includes a double mastectomy and reconstruction, and all the challenges that will come with that: a new insurance deductible (after exhausting last year’s deductible just this June for a hysterectomy), 6-8 weeks out of work, extra help caring for her children, transportation (she will not be able to drive for a length of time), and a long list of new expenses on top of the exhaustion, discomfort, and sitting with the unknown.

Kim has spent her life caring for everyone else. From the endless hours spent ensuring her home was a safe, joyful place for her three children to her unwavering support for her friends in their darkest hours, she is the definition of a dedicated mother and a loyal friend. As a homeschooling mom and a fierce advocate for her family’s health—especially in managing her son’s Celiac disease with such care—she is now facing a challenge that no one should have to walk alone. And she has little support from close family at this time.

We are heartbroken to see her starting her own cancer journey, after helping so many others through their own struggles.
