Support Erin Duffy on her Journey to Recovery

Hi Erin's friends & family. I’m Stephenie, a sister-like friend to our sweet Erin. She has had quite the road lately…
It all started mid-March with her 1st routine colonoscopy (it’s 45 now, not 50, so please schedule yours!). They found a sizable polyp on her appendix, so she would need to return for a scheduled appendectomy a few weeks later. But she returned that same night to the ER after having internal bleeding, nearly passing out alone at home. Waking up to water damage downstairs 2 days later was yet another surprise, requiring her to immediately move out and start repairs. Followed by procedure #3 in 3 weeks - appendectomy successful and on her way to recovery… so she thought. Fast forward 3 more weeks, to midnight severe abdominal pain. She ended up in the ER again and after a concerning CT scan, was taken immediately into surgery due to a bowel obstruction and twisted intestine from adhesion/scar tissue that formed from the appendectomy and was hospitalized for 5 days.
All of this has unfolded as Erin also navigates an unexpected career shift after being laid off from a job she poured her heart into for 14 years.
If you know Erin, you know she’s kind, fierce, loyal, and always shows up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Let’s remind her she’s not alone. Let’s help her heal, rebuild, and return to living the vibrant life she deserves.
