Earlier this month, hard to take news hit our family. My sister Emilie was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer during what should be the happiest time of her life: 6 months pregnant with her little girl. Instead of being able to focus on bringing baby girl home to meet her big brother Teddy, life is full of doctors appointments for both her and baby, tests, and treatments.
I know many of you, especially those out of town, have asked if there are any ways to help on top of the prayers sent. Emilie and Curtis are tough, resilient people, but being able to take the financial burden off their backs will help them be able to focus on what really matters through this.
Any donations would be used to cover things from medical expenses, lost income from unpaid days to go to appointments, baby's delivery costs, formula, the chemo rounds and surgery after giving birth, and any help that would make their lives a hair less difficult in this time like meals and housework assistance to get the home ready for their newest family member.
Thank you for any support you can give, shares of this page, and prayers sent for Emilie, Curtis, Teddy, and baby girl on the way. For updates from Emilie herself, her Caring Bridge page is here:
