Help Brooke Continue to Beat the Odds!

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I’m reaching out today to ask for your support for my best friend, Brooke Allison, who has been bravely battling severe health challenges. Her treatment requires travel back and forth to Mayo Clinic. She is treated for Mast Cell Disease, Immunodeficiency, Chronic Infection, a Heart Condition, and more. She has set up a CaringBridge page for more details. We have hope that Mayo Clinic Physician’s can collaborate to improve her quality of life and reduce the need for invasive procedures.

Brooke’s physical capacity has been objectively tracked and documented by her physician’s as “completely incapacitated” for one week out of each month. Her work ethic and passion for helping others is one of the traits many admire most about her. Unfortunately, Brooke’s health has forced her to resign from her position providing therapy to children on the Autism Spectrum, leaving her without a steady income. Despite her efforts to maintain her position by filing for FMLA, the severity of her conditions made it impossible to continue working. Brooke is also a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling that cannot continue until her condition improves.

Brooke and I have shared countless adventures and created memories that I cherish deeply. She has quickly become my best friend, bringing so much light and joy into my life. But now, as her condition evolves, I’ve watched her endure unimaginable pain. We’ve experienced several ER visits, hospital stays, and countless doctor appointments together. There was a moment in March 2024 when I thought I might lose her. She is a fighter and has beat the odds more than once!

I’ve done everything I can to be there for her but now I’m asking for your help.

I’m asking for your help in raising funds to cover Brooke’s medical and living expenses during this time. As the new year approaches, her Deductible and Out of Pocket will reset. Your generosity will go directly towards her ongoing care, ensuring she can focus on her health without the added stress of financial hardship.

Although she is desperate to get back to work and school, she has still found ways to help and inspire others. She challenges herself everyday and brings hope, joy, and laughter to her loved ones.
