My name is Amir Ismail. I’m 18 and I live in Gaza. I started filming to show the world how we live, not just the destruction but the strength, the smiles and the resilience of my people.
Just weeks ago, I was seriously injured in an Israeli airstrike. Shrapnel tore through my right hand and arm, the same hand I use to hold my camera, feed myself and help others. The pain is unbearable and doctors here say I need urgent surgery abroad or risk losing full use of my hand forever.
For over two years, my people and I have lived through a never-ending nightmare of danger, hunger and uncertainty. I’ve spent the last year helping orphaned children, displaced families and neighbours. Now, I need your help to survive, heal and keep sharing Gaza’s truth with the world.
