El Domingo, 4 de Julio de 2021, nuestro querido Pastor Carlos Alfaro tuvo un infarto masivo en las primeras horas de la mañana mientras se encontraba en su oficina. Su esposa, Ana Alfaro, estuvo presente y pudo llamar al 911 de inmediato. Unos miembros de la iglesia también fueron llamados para ayudar y pudieron comenzar la reanimación cardiopulmonar hasta que llegaron los paramédicos. Mientras los paramédicos continuaban sus esfuerzos por reanimarlo en la ambulancia camino al hospital, su corazón comenzó a latir nuevamente. Los médicos estiman que murió aproximadamente una hora antes de ser revivido. Desafortunadamente su cerebro se quedo sin oxígeno durante este tiempo.
Actualmente, nuestro pastor ha estado en cuidados intensivos durante cinco días. Los médicos creen que tiene un daño cerebral severo y necesitará ser monitoreado en los próximos días. Seguimos confiando en que Dios tiene el control y tiene un plan y un propósito.
El pastor Carlos Alfaro ha servido a nuestra comunidad durante 30 años y es el fundador y pastor principal de la Iglesia Cristo Fiel y Verdadero en la ciudad de Miami. El Pastor, nacido en la Ciudad de Guatemala, hijo de padre Cubano y madre Guatemalteca, aceptó al Señor Jesucristo como el Salvador de su vida a la edad de 24 años. El Pastor Carlos junto a su amada esposa Pastora Ana Alfaro y sus dos hijas , Gabriela y Elizabeth, han dedicado su vida a predicar el Evangelio.

On Sunday, July 4th, 2021, our dear Pastor Carlos Alfaro had a massive heart attack in the early morning hours while he was in his office. His wife, Ana Alfaro, was present and was able to call 911 immediately. Members of the church were also called to assist and were able to begin CPR until paramedics arrived. While the paramedics continued their efforts to revive him in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, his heart began beating again. The doctors estimate that he died for approximately one hour before he was revived. Unfortunately, his organs, including his brain, were without oxygen during this time.
Currently, our Pastor has been in Intensive Critical Care for five days. Doctors believe he has severe brain damage and will need to be monitored in the days to come. We continue to trust that God is in control and has a plan and purpose.
Pastor Carlos Alfaro has served our community for 30 years and is the founder and senior pastor of Iglesia Cristo Fiel y Verdadero in the city of Miami. The Pastor, born in Guatemala City, son of a Cuban father and a Guatemalan mother, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior of his life at the age of 24. Pastor Carlos together with his beloved wife Pastora Ana Alfaro and his two daughters, Gabriela and Elizabeth, have dedicated their lives to preaching the Gospel.
