For 50 years, the Winter Conference on the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory in Park City, UT, has been the premier gathering devoted to understanding how the brain learns, remembers, and adapts. It is the longest-running conference in the world dedicated to this mission—and its impact on our field has been profound. Generations of scientists launched their careers here, collaborations that shaped modern neuroscience began here, and many of the field’s foundational discoveries were first presented here.
As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary Meeting—January 8–11, 2026, in Park City, UT—Kari, Arnold, Jason, and I are asking for your support to ensure that the next 50 years are just as innovative, inclusive, and impactful.
Despite its global influence, the Winter Conference has remained intentionally small and community-driven, providing trainees and established investigators alike with unparalleled access, conversation, and mentorship. To preserve this unique environment and continue advancing the field, we are seeking financial support to:
• Keep registration costs low, allowing broad participation from scientists at all career stages
• Fund trainee travel awards, ensuring that the next generation of researchers can attend and benefit from this community
• Support speaker travel, helping us bring in leading voices who shape the direction of the field
• Expand new year-round initiatives, including outreach, professional development, and community networking opportunities
Your contribution—whether as an individual donor, institutional partner, or corporate sponsor—directly strengthens the scientific community and accelerates discovery in the neurobiology of learning and memory.
If there were ever a year to invest in this mission, this is it. Fifty years of progress have brought us to an extraordinary moment. With your support, we can make the next fifty even more transformative.
