Ryan's Superheroes for Hope

Thank you for visiting my go fund me profile!! It means a lot that you took the time to read and learn about my cause and why I started my campaign.
My name is Ryan, I’m 26 and I live in the small town of Hillsdale, MI.
I also have a crazy thing for superheroes, Batman being one of my all time favorites!! Over the past year, I’ve become known in my sleepy town as “The Hillsdale Batman” the dude who drives around in a 2001 black Chevy blazer decked out in bright yellow Batman symbols from all sides.
Ever since I was little, I’ve had a heart for wanting to help people and spread happiness and joy to everyone I meet, especially young kids and teens. The Baltimore Batman, Lenny B. Robison, who tragically passed away this past month, was one of my biggest heroes and inspiration in bringing joy to those less fortunate.
As word spread about my ‘Batmobile’, a couple local libraries asked if I would attend their superhero summer reading program events dressed up as Batman for the kids, which I did and both were huge successes.
As word has continued to still spread across Michigan with every stop I make, I’ve been asked if I would like to attend more events such as birthday parties and charity events, which I hope to. But there is one thing I’d like to change first, and that is my Batsuit. My outfit currently consists of a Batman hoodie, black cargo pants and replica Dark Knight cowl. And while ‘cool’ looking, it could be much more realistic.

UD Replicas, a company that specializes in high quality custom made leather motorcycle suits has produced one of the best movie accurate Dark Knight Rises suits on the market today, the only thing preventing me from owning such a suit is it’s almost $1,600 price tag
Jacket = $798.00, Pants=$449.00, Gloves $98.00, Boots=$219.00

I work at a popular pizza place in town, and while the income I make is enough to get me by most times and keep my bills paid, it rarely leaves me with any extra to set aside for such a purchase.
When I do Batman events, I never ask or expect to be paid for my time, if asked, I only charge enough to cover my fuel costs for me to drive to the event I’m attending, I’ve even taken days off work in order to attend events free of charge, because I’m that passionate about this.
I didn’t set out do these gigs for money or my own fame, but rather because my payment has come from seeing young kids faces light up in awe and excitement when they get to meet “Batman” face to face for the first time. I had one young fella tell me after meeting him “I always thought Batman was just in cartoons and movies, but now I know he’s real!!” oh, to still have such an innocent imagination such as his!
Once I meet my goal, and have purchased the suit, I also intend to start a nationwide journey meeting up with other super hero individuals who travel around to children’s hospitals, giving hope and courage to sick kids as well as the parent’s who many struggle daily to stay positive and upbeat when news and diagnoses are often times discouraging and negative. All in all, I want to strive to carry on Lenny’s legacy as he would have wanted.
You’re more than welcome to donate any amount you feel this cause is worth to you, I’m not much of a mathematician, but I did calculate that if I can get just 160 people to donate $10.00, I’d hit my $1,600 goal, or if I can get 320 people to donate $5.00 or 1,600 people to donate $1.00 each.
If I happen to surpass my goal, all excess funds will be donated to the Life Line food pantry, a wonderful place I used to volunteer at, who offer food and clothing to low income families free of charge.
Thank you so much again, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through Facebook (Ryan James Littley) or via email at [email redacted].
Sincerely,
Ryan James Littley
