Hello my friends, I'm so sorry for the late update, so far till today we have raised $2500. We continue the raising fund from the point reached in $8000. Thank you everyone.

Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School SMD provides basic needs and education for underprivileged children and young people. It was established in 1987 at the request of Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche. All of you know about the earthquakes in Nepal that have been ruining buildings and killing people and their family members left and right, leaving people and kids stranded alone and without anything.
(May 12), another one hit, killing another 50 or so people. We the sumo chef's trying to raise money to build an emergency stairway on Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding school, the Girl's Dorm.
After the earthquake, the NSET National Society for Earthquake Technology - Nepal (NSET)) ngineers assessed the B Block 2 got a green light (A Block - retrofitted years ago) & the kitchen. The other 3 blocks got an amber light = inhabit with caution, drill kids in evacuation procedures frequently & get a detailed assessment asap. The first thing needed, on the engineers' advice, is to put emergency stairwells on D Block (the Girls' Hostel).
May 11, 2015 - 118 children still at Education for Himalayan Kids - 118 children still at Education for Himalayan Kids - Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School SMD were moved back into the boys' hostel (undamaged - it was retrofitted) & the girls' hostel (rated 'orange' by the engineers). The rains have started early - if they don't move them, well have sick kids. This is the estimates from the engineer as to costs to retrofit & add emergency stairwells. Just take a minute or two to look everything over and every penny helps these

Now this is the dining hall for kids, building are not safe to stay inside.

This tents are donated, by Tzu Chi foundation. for school to get starts the class continue.
