Summer holiday challenges for Lizzie

Donation protected
We’re raising money for our dear friend Lizzie Pitt, who’s recently been given the heart-breaking diagnosis of grade 4 Glioblastoma, an incredibly aggressive and rare form of brain cancer.

We met Lizzie over 10 years ago at a local baby group, and she quickly became one of our most treasured friends. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room — always smiling, always got a tale to tell, and always looking out for others. She’s full of life, laughter and strength — and right now, she needs all the love and support we can give her.
We honestly can’t imagine what Lizzie, her husband Al, and their two children Rowan and Felix are going through. What we do know is that we want to do something — anything — to help ease the pressure on them during this incredibly difficult time.

The money we raise will go directly to Lizzie and her family to help with:
• Everyday living costs, so they can focus on what really matters
• Travel and accommodation for alternative treatments and clinical trials, here in the UK and potentially further afield

Since we all met through the little ones, it feels fitting that they’re the ones taking the lead by completing various challenges over the summer to raise as much money as we possibly can -
  • by cycling 26 miles from Leeds to Silsden along the canal. It’s a fair old trek for a bunch of 8 to 11-year-olds.... Expect snacks, sore bums, and a lot of determined little faces.
  • Lucas will be walking a million steps over the summer holidays, which will include completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
  • There will also be sponsored runs which we will update when we have further info

If you’re able to donate — however big or small — it would mean the absolute world. Every penny will go directly to Lizzie and her family. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this page is a huge help.
Let’s surround Lizzie with the love, laughter, and support she’s always given so freely to the rest of us. She’s one of life’s good ones — and she’s not facing this alone.

With all our love and thanks,
