Sumatra Flood Relief

My name is Rose Daud. I currently live in Canada, and my home country is Indonesia—specifically Aceh, Sumatra. I am organizing this fundraiser to support the urgent flood-relief efforts in Aceh following the recent and devastating disaster.
Severe flooding has left many families without access to food, clean water, clothing, medicine, and basic necessities. Entire communities are struggling to survive as they cope with the aftermath of this tragedy.
All funds raised will be transferred to a trusted relief account in Aceh (Ustadz Amri Fatmi and his team) will be distributing the funds directly to the families most in need on the hardest hit town and communities. Proof of contributions—such as receipts, photos, and videos of distributions will be provided to ensure transparency.
Your support, in any amount, will make a real difference for the affected families, friends, and communities.
Key Impacts and Current Situation:
Casualties and Displacement:
Across the three hardest-hit provinces—Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra—at least 961 people have lost their lives, and approximately 293 remain missing (as of December 8, 2025). More than one million people have been displaced and are now living in temporary shelters, facing extreme shortages of food, medicine, and safe shelter.
Infrastructure Damage:
Floodwaters have washed away roads and bridges, cutting off access to many communities. Telecommunications and power infrastructure were also severely damaged, although restoration efforts are underway.
Please consider helping in any way you can. Your generosity will directly support relief efforts and provide hope and essential aid to those who need it most.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
