We are three teachers from Suder Montessori in Chicago. On December 19, we hope to take our 90 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders on an educational, fun, bonding week-long trip to Wisconsin at Nature's Classroom . It is an outdoor, science-based experiential program with 20 years of proven experience and a Montessori background. Perfect! Because we are from one of the few public, Montessori schools in Chicago. And our students love Science!
The tuition is $324 per student and it covers three meals per day, comfortable dorm-style lodging and certified, experienced teachers that offer small group classes. Some of our favorites from last year were dissecting a manta ray, playing predator-prey, navigating with the sun, and a night hike. The learning takes place all day, from setting the table and sharing a meal, to helping a homesick friend have fun, and becoming more than just classmates, but lifelong friends.
We have a lot of students that just cannot afford this trip, but who are so deserving and forever grateful for the experience. Please sponsor a child for $324 or give whatever you can.
