Styxx's medical bills
My pup Styxx, a 19mnth German shepherd/Husky mix, has gotten sick after a visit to the local river. We first noticed tuesday June 25th by his lack of enthusiasm. It brought further concern when he seemed weak in his jumps and unconcerned attitude. After a visit to the vet on June 27th, we learned he has a fever of 104.5°, and a severely low blood platelet count.
The vets ruled out some worms and tick diseases with a standard test but in order to pinpoint the cause, they need to do more indepth parasite panel which is unfortunately that is out of budget for me and my roommate. Just what was done and the medicine to curb the infection was most of our remaining budget for the week, the rest however and the specialty dog food he needs while on the meds is over what we have currently saved.
We appreciate the help you can provide on ensuring our pup continues to have a long and healthy life.
My baby caught something. Dont know what and can't know unless we pay for a panel of tests and bloodwork that at present we can't afford. He went in to see a vet June 27th with a fever of 104.5 and a blood platelet count of 36,000 per microliter (after the second blood draw, first blood draw was 10,000), a normal count for dogs is between 175,000 and 200,000.
He's a tired boi and just lethargic. He's a bit happier after some meds but still uncomfortable.
June 28th, although looking batter I know he's getting worse. He barely eats, and while napping he suffered a bout of incontinence. I love my boy more than the world and it hurts to see him so.
Please, I beg of you, please just... Help me help him.
