Jennifer Taylor, my beautiful friend (inside and out) of nearly 30 years has recently faced a series of devastating events in the past two months. It started with the unexpected, accidental passing of her father, followed by a car accident totaling her SUV (thanks to icy MN roads). Then, while in between moves, an explosion fire decimated the storage units around hers--including her own--resulting in the loss of the majority of her belongings.
When she originally moved her things into the storage unit, she had spent a considerable amount of time sorting and saving only her most meaningful items--things to take with her into her next move, as well as keepsakes for her children.
She also stored household items she wasn’t immediately using, as her current temporary space was already furnished.
Unfortunately, she lost everything she wanted to keep, and her children lost precious memories of theirs as well.
Much of what was lost is irreplaceable… but some of it could be. However, the cost to replace everything creates a significant burden for her moving forward--especially as she needs to replace her vehicle and secure another place to live.
But I know we can help!
Jennifer is the type of woman who has always done things for herself, rarely asking for help or even feeling comfortable with it. But she has a strong, loving community of support encouraging her to accept it now.
If not now, when is the right time to receive help?!
She is strong, resilient, and her life has shaped her into someone capable of weathering storms. It is critical that she regains her footing to be able to move forward. Now it's our turn to support her, and help her overcome these recent losses.
Anything will help!
Let’s overwhelm her with the tangible love and care that only a community rallying together can provide. She is not alone--we are all here for her. Thank you, in advance, for your heartfelt generosity. May we all do the same for each other and pay it forward!
