Hello, my name is Vincent Edwards. I'm fundraising to help raise working capital for my clothing line, Strange Toonz. I’ve started Strange Toonz over 10 years ago however after big challenges in life my passion was left to collect dust. After applying for multiple grants and business loans to launch the line resulted in continuous denials, still to this day, I figured I'd try weighing my options and seek assistance with crowdfunding. I have already invested an unknown amount of my own money but that hasn't gone a long way when purchasing samples to jump start my idea. I figured I would do things differently this time around and seek help so I could digitize my designs, ship products, and advertise along with other ventures to cover overhead expenses. The money will help me officially relaunch the brand, purchase working capital, create an online store, and build a team to maximize our success and so we can finally bring to the public new original designs.

Here’s a little background on what Strange Toonz means to me and how it came about. In high school I was considered to be a nerd and very different from my peers which led to many doubts about who I was and how impactful I could be in my life. I was into anime and many different cartoons. I didn’t always fit into the so called “popular kids circle.” One day an idea popped into my head for an apparel line and Strange Toonz was created. I chose this name brand because essentially everyone is different and unique in their own way. Just because you are different it does not always make you strange or not cool. Toonz came about because I was always silly, funny and outgoing, plus my generation always had the best cartoons. I believe we’ve had the best cartoon era hands down.
