PROMO VIDEO -

(A Crime, Drama, and Black Comedy)

Best mates Dan and Carter find themselves twenty-five grand in debt to a group of wannabe suburban gangsters trying to make a name for themselves in the criminal world. In a matter of days the boys cause more carnage than they’d ever realise on the path to clearing their debts.

Now in our third year of study in Film Production at Southampton Solent University it is time to embark on our graduate film! This is an opportunity to work on our biggest project to date with almost a whole year to do it!

Meet our crew!

Director/Writer: Jack Griffiths
Jack Griffiths is a Writer and Director from Reading with particular interest in the genre of British Crime films. “Stitched Up” is a film written to not only pay homage to some of the great British crime classics but also to offer a breath of fresh air into a more modernised version of the genre.

With a visual style closely related to his choice of music within his films, Jack expresses his creative vision through the pairing of visuals with music to offer a cinematic music video like experience through watching his short films.

Producer/Editor: Ali Kerr
Ali Kerr from Brighton, an editor by trade but skilful in the role of producing will be embarking on both roles during “Stitched Up”. His experience and professionalism uphold him as an efficient producer yet creatively productive. His background in editing offers him a creative insight into the production of a film and what it takes to get from the page to the screen.

Director of Photography: Jack Olenka
Jack Olenka is a Director of photography with a keen eye for creative expression through visuals. His main inspirations in film come from the visual styles of Edgar Wright and Christopher Nolan due to their unique approach in conveying a narrative. Jack resonates with these inspirations and hopes to apply them to Stitched Up.

Production Design: Bailey Sadler
Bailey Sadler is a passionate film maker from Chichester, West Sussex that specialises in abstract and experimental film, meaning he has a keen eye for detail, which as Production Designer on this project will be a very exciting role.

Camera Operator: Lew Nightingale
Lew Nightingale is a camera operator from Northampton. He has an extensive knowledge of the technicalities of cinema paired with talented grasp for camera movement. His main inspiration is David Fincher's DOP Jeff Cronenweth as his camera movement and his shots are always motivated by the script, which is something Lew wants to include in Stitched Up.

Sound Design: Jamie Nagle
Jamie Nagle from South London is an experienced sound recordist and designer with an all-round knowledge on how to capture an accurate yet creative soundscape. Jamie has a get up and go attitude and also applies himself to more than one role in the film making process making him a well-rounded professional.
