Hi everyone, you know us by now.

As many of you know, Steven has been struggling with stomach issues for quite some time now. His quality of life has been diminished, and he’s lost significant weight.

On 03/17/2026 we received news of findings in his colonoscopy, and have since been referred to oncology.

Because of the financial impact insurance has on our paychecks, he has opted to be a self-pay patient for his exams up until now. As we thought perhaps, this wasn’t such a big deal. Unfortunately, it is. We have applied for emergency medicaid, hoping it can cover the costs to get him healthy again.

I am asking for assistance from our friends because he has dipped deep into his finances, and all donations will be sent directly to him to help with the already accumulated debt and to potentially aid in upcoming expenses for travel if we end up at a facility that’s a ways away from us.

Some out of pocket expenses include:

• initial doctor visit back in 2025

(this was going to be his PCP, but after being falsely told “it’s not cancer!” by him, Steven has decided to not move forward with being a patient of his)

• CT scan ordered by the doctor

• blood panel tests (basic and comprehensive)

• stool sample tests (3 different ones)

• medications he’s been prescribed

• initial GI specialist appointment

• the colonoscopy itself

• follow up appointments with GI

• bloodwork for cancer specialists

• fee for putting a port in

and to be honest, he’s going to be paying for his first sessions of chemo out of pocket starting the 28th of April.

I don’t know the cost of all of this, really. I’m only throwing out a rough estimate on here. Anything is appreciated.
