Hello friends and family. As you all know January 17th marked the 1 year anniversary of Steven Mark's passing and with his birthday just a few days away on the 23rd I wanted to do something special in his memory. This past weekend I attended an event for The Art of Life Healing Garden at Woodward Park in Fresno Ca, which gave me the idea to dedicate a bench in honor of Steven. The Art of Life Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Christopher Perkins of California Oncology (Steven's Oncologist) right in our hometown of Fresno Ca. This program inspires people impacted by cancer to connect and heal with others through creative expression. The Art of Life Healing Garden is currently under construction in Woodward Park and when finished will include picnic tables, a childrens area, benches and an amphitheatre. The amphitheatre will include a custom 8x8 tile (pictured below) that my brother, Josh Cash, and I created in memory of Steven.
I feel as though a park bench with a custom plaque dedicated to Steven Mark would give us all a place we can go to remember the amazing person he was and the way he has touched each and every one of our lives. In order to reach this goal of $2000 any donation would be greatly appreciated.
