Steven C - Stage 4 throat cancer

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

It is estimated that more than 1.6 million new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in 2015.
We honestly believe that everyone knows someone who is fighting for their life with cancer.

We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to visit the page for Steven Chilingirian.
He is one more person in our lives to be struck with this debilitating disease.

It is with a heavy heart that we share Steven’s journey with cancer.
His Journey began over six months ago when he began losing a substantial amount of weight and was having difficulty swallowing and eating.
After seeing several doctors and having had many tests, finally a biopsy confirmed our worst fears.
He was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer.
Steven’s throat is now almost fully closed with a large tumor which is inoperable. To stay alive he is fed through a feeding tube.

Steven is prepared to continue to fight for his life but for now, radiation and chemo therapy are his sword and shield.

While Steven has been fighting his battle with Cancer his wife Pamela was diagnosed with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) which she contracted at the hospital she works for while caring for her patients.
Her treatment involved removing a large tumor on her back that was caused by the virus. She was required to recover in a nursing home for two months and continues to receive physical therapy. At this point in her treatment she remains unable to work.

Steven is a self-employed hardworking man. He continues to work in his weakened state when he is able to.
He is a kind loving father, son, brother and friend who is loyal and loves fiercely.
Steven and his wife Pamela are the sole providers for their household and their autistic daughter.
Additionally, he is one of the main care givers and providers for his ailing elderly parents.

As his medical bills mount daily the ability to keep up with the normal household expenses is becoming increasingly difficult.
Every day is a struggle. A struggle to survive and a struggle to keep fighting. Steven is a fighter and he is determined to win the battle. Let’s do our best as a community, as loving friends and family to help alleviate some of the burden.

In sharing Steven’s journey, we ask that you pray with us for continued strength and any amount of support you are able to give is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your prayers and help!
We love you all!
