Hi everyone, my name is Steven Tse, a 17-year old violist currently attending Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, CA, and Colburn Community School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles for my music education. I plan on majoring in viola performance in college and becoming a professional violist.
         
I auditioned earlier this year for the world-renowned, highly selective summer music school, Meadowmount School of Music, and was very pleased to learn that I got accepted into the studio of Patricia McCarty, who is an internationally acclaimed viola soloist and pedagogue. There, I will receive intensive training in solo performance and chamber music; I will also get to collaborate with other highly gifted music students from around the globe. 

The tuition and room and board for this 7-week "boot camp" will cost me and my family $7,000, and it's due May 15. This is a significant amount of money for a middle-class family like mine to shell out in a short period of time, but both my family and I understand how important this opportunity is to me, and I certainly do not want to lose the opportunity. Hence, I am asking for your support. Your support will enable me to nurture my musical path.
