In June our Dad, Steve Landis, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. He is in the process of receiving chemo, however his insurance has been canceled because he has been out of work for longer than 6 months. He has COBRA but its over $1000 a month to keep his insurance active. 
Our dad is the sole provider for his house as our mom has always been a stay at home mom and now she is home taking care of him since chemotherapy makes him sick and extremely weak.
Since he's been out of work money has been extremely tight and all of these monthly bills and medical bills are starting to pile up. I know our Dad is extremely humble and will probably be somewhat embarassed that we are doing this for him, but it's important that we get him the help he needs. If he doesnt have insurance EACH CHEMO TREATMENT is over $600 and that is just not feasible for our parents. 
Dad is one of the kindest, most caring people we know. Hes an amazing Dad, husband, and grandpa. He is always willing to help others. Before getting sick he did things for the church he and our mom attend on his off days from work. Hes the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back because you needed it more than he did.
