Shave it or Save it! - a Fund Raiser for Steve Avard...
"Shave it or Save it!"
Is the name of the game,
To fund-raise some cash for
An all-round champion bloke is the aim
As for the hair,
It's neither here nor there
Grow it or mow it,
We don't really care
To give a little background
And explain the situation
I'll tell a little story
And give you some needed information
If you know a man called Steve Avard
You'll agree that times for him are rough,
But the man is made of steel
He's resilliant, strong and tough
Bone marrows what he's in for
Its not very nice at all
The fight of his life,
He's in some real strife
And it's time for his mates to band together
And help him stand up tall
So it is my solemn request
That you join in this mission
And cast your vote
Then leave a note; Save it or Shave it
Whatever your decision
Any donation large or small is a huge contribution
Towards making this tough journey a little less rough
For a man and his wife who are made of the best
True Blue Aussie stuff!
All donations will be forwarded directly to Steve and Leah. They will be able to use the much needed funds to cover the everyday expenses that we take for granted. Steve will be in hospital for the next three months undergoing a bone marrow transplant. He will be put through the ringer physically and mentally but he will have Flower by his side every step of the way. Our hearts and thoughts are with them as they embark on this journey together. Your donations large or small are all very much appreciated and will go a long way towards easing the financial pressure that is inevitabley involved with the process.
On a lighter note, your votes towards saving my luscious locks would be wonderful!! D-Day...or "Shave Day" is currently TBA. You will be notified when it's locked in. If "Shave It" is the result, it will be recorded on video for the pleasure of your viewing. My hair will be donated to the charity of Steves choice to make a wig for a cancer patient suffering from hair loss.
