Empower Creativity Through the Arts

Hello - my name is Stephanie Weiss, and I love the arts!

For my 60th birthday, I am doing a fundraiser for THE CREATIVE COALITION! I recently learned about The Creative Coalition and the more I read about it, the more I like it! I'm always concerned when schools remove arts programs before removing other (sports) programs. The arts are universal. The arts are essential for everyone's well-being. People in the arts learn to work with others, compromise, compassion, community, work with budgets & limited resources, and working towards a common goal. Whether it be arts education, creating art on stage, with speech, in music, on film, or on television - everyone needs the ARTS!

1 “The arts give us access to the mind of others and in doing so they help us understand our own humanity”. This emphasizes on a call to support the arts as a way of deepening human connection and empathy

2 “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep” this emphasizes how support can nurture innovation

3 “We rise by lifting others” This is a call to action, emphasizing the collective impact of supporting creative voices

4 “Art has power to transform, to illuminate, to educate, inspire and motivate” - a reminder of the huge impact the arts can have on society
