"Bake a difference with Steel City Bakery!"
Donation protected
Hello, I am Darrick Tucker, a friend of the beloved Chef Blāque Shelton of Steel City Bakery. If you have seen him on tv or have had the pleasure of meeting him then you know that his amazing spirit and smile are contagious!
As you may know, Steel City Bakery is his dream storefront that he is looking to open as soon as financially possible. From broken promises by contractors, months of overhead expenses, car accidents, and losses in the family, just to name a few, there have been numerous obstacles that have delayed opening. I have never come across someone that has had to overcome so many obstacles whilst actively maintaining a positive outlook and continuing to pour back into the community.
I invite you to explore his vision below and help us turn this dream into a reality.
No donation is too small and if you can’t donate I ask that you please pray and share that he can get the funding to fulfill his dreams very soon. Thanks for your time and God Bless.
Introduction:
Welcome to our crowdfunding campaign! We are excited to announce our plan to open Steel City Bakery in Gary, Indiana. Our bakery will be run by the award-winning baker, cake decorator, and TV personality Chef Blāque. We plan to raise $50,000 to help us get started and bring fresh, delicious baked goods to the community. Our bakery will not only provide tasty treats but will also offer class instruction, training, and employment opportunities.
About Steel City Bakery:
Steel City Bakery will be a community-focused bakery that specializes in fresh-baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and pies. Our bakery will be unique because we will source all of our ingredients locally, whenever possible, ensuring that we are supporting the community and providing the freshest products possible. We will also be offering classes on baking and cake decorating, so people can learn the art of baking and decorating from a professional.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to create a space that brings people together and fosters a sense of community. We believe that everyone should have access to delicious, high-quality baked goods, regardless of their income or background. We also believe that baking is an art form, and we want to share our knowledge and passion with others by offering classes and training opportunities.
About Chef Blaque:
Chef Blaque is an award-winning baker, cake decorator, and TV star. He has been featured on several cooking shows, including Food Network's Big Bake, Netflix Sugar Rush and Disney+ Foodtastic. He has won multiple awards for his creative and delicious baked goods, and he is excited to bring his expertise to Steel City Bakery.

We also plan to use some of the funds to offer scholarships for our baking classes, so that everyone in the community has access to the classes.
Rewards:
We appreciate every donation and want to offer rewards for those who support us. As a thank you for your support, we're offering some amazing rewards, from Steel City Bakery branded aprons to custom-made cakes for your next special occasion. Plus, every donor will be invited to our grand opening celebration!
