Shift is in a dangerous situation and he is reaching out to all of you in the community for your material support. He is being evicted from his stable housing as a consequence of the pandemic and an uncooperative landlord. His stable housing and employment were simultaneously disrupted and he needs your help to bounce back from this hardship. 

Shift can't leave unless we help get him out. We can't allow him to be made homeless. Your material contribution could save his life.



We're proud of Shift for the challenging and draining work he does and has done as a case manager for complex crises, for building the foundation of his new business venture, and for continuing to search for part-time employment. 

Let's get Shift the basics he needs to stabilize and move forward:

- A local storage unit for 4 months so he doesn't lose all his stuff while he is navigating his way out.
- Move-in money for a safe, stable, place to live and work (Shift frequently works from home).
- Recovery money
-- For Shift to get some therapy, EMDR, or a massage or staycation or fancy meal. Or all of that.  Self-care is dynamic, and agency to choose is fundamental to any authentic versions of it. 

Let's give Shift a break for fuq sake. We know he'll spend any money generated here wisely to keep himself stable and give himself a chance to thrive. 



While all this is happening, Shift is unable to focus on building his recently incorporated business... which is truly one of the most amazing and relevant business ideas that has ever been proposed. Let's get Shift back on course with his life and invest in a future we all want. Black people, queer folks, and other marginalized people need to be protected from the distractions that oppression onslaughts them with.
