Delilah Baker is just 3 years old — full of life, mischief, and imagination. She loves dressing up, dancing around the living room, and making everyone laugh with her infectious energy. She’s the kind of child whose smile makes the world feel a little brighter.

But just two months ago, Delilah’s world changed.

She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer that primarily affects children under the age of 5. A tumour was discovered, and it has already spread to her bones. It’s a diagnosis no parent should ever hear — and no child should ever have to endure.

Delilah has already begun intensive chemotherapy. She’s completed two rounds so far, with incredible bravery and strength. Her medical team remains hopeful, and she continues to face each day with a smile that says, “I’ve got this.”

Her mum, Shereen, is a newly appointed manager at DHL. She’s also a single parent — strong, dedicated, and doing everything she can to be there for her daughter through every hospital stay, every treatment, and every sleepless night. Watching her child go through this is heartbreaking, but she continues to show resilience and love in every moment.

While the NHS is providing excellent care, some families affected by high-risk Neuroblastoma eventually pursue additional treatment overseas — including a highly specialised immunotherapy programme in New York. It’s too early to know if Delilah will need this path, but it’s one her doctors may consider as part of her long-term recovery journey.

Delilah’s story is still being written. And through all the pain, she continues to be a light in the lives of everyone around her. Her strength inspires us. Her laughter reminds us what we’re fighting for. And her journey is one we walk together — every step of the way.
