Stan Sanders Playground Legacy Fund

Stan was truly a gift to so many of us, and has left his mark on those who were blessed to have him in their lives. He lived each day with a quiet sincerity that permeated all that he did. He will be remembered for many things, but perhaps most of all for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, and his adoration of children – many of which knew their role model as simply “Uncle Stan”. A family man through and through, Stan’s legacy is one that’s filled with love, kindness, strength, and overwhelming resilience.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds to donate to the Shannon Lake Elementary School for their new playground, and "Buddy Benches" in memory of Stan. His grandson Ryder currently attends this school, and Grayson will soon follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family feels that contributions to this project will perfectly complement Stan's legacy and his love of children. Stan spent over thirty years volunteering in the family's childcare centre, and would spend countless time playing with and interacting with the children. It seems only fitting that he continues to bring joy and play to kids, including his grandsons, now that he has passed.

Funds will be handled by Stan's loving wife, Lisa Sanders, and donated to the elementary school in a lump sum payment.

Many thanks from the family for your generous contributions, and the assistance in continuing Stan's legacy.
