Hi, my name is Jiet.

I am a husband to my loving wife and a proud father of two wonderful children. Everything I do is for my family—and today, I am asking for help so I can continue fighting to be here for them.

In June 2024, I noticed a frightening change in my health when my urine became tea-colored and I began passing blood clots. After several medical tests, doctors discovered a large mass in my left kidney on June 13, 2024—the tumor was nearly the size of the kidney itself. Just weeks later, on June 25, I underwent a left nephrectomy, and the biopsy confirmed Stage 3a clear cell Renal Cell Carcinoma.

One month after surgery, I began adjuvant immunotherapy with Pembrolizumab, receiving treatment every three weeks for a total of 17 sessions. We were hopeful this would keep the cancer from returning.

Sadly, on November 26, 2025, a PET SCAN revealed that the cancer had metastasized to my left abdominal wall. I underwent a second surgery (metastectomy) to remove the tumor. My doctors recommended a more aggressive combination immunotherapy (Nivolumab and Ipilimumab), but it is not readily available in the Philippines and is prohibitively expensive, costing approximately $11,300 USD (₱664,000 PHP) per month for two years—a total far beyond what my family can afford.

As an alternative, my current treatment plan includes:

• Pembrolizumab every three weeks for two years

• Daily oral Lenvatinib, a targeted cancer therapy

(approximately $3,000 USD / ₱162,000 PHP per month, or $72,000 USD / ₱3,888,000 PHP over two years)

• Ongoing monitoring, including PET-CT scans every three months in the first year and every six months in the second year

(approximately $6,500 USD / ₱402,000 PHP over two years)

These treatments are critical to controlling the cancer and giving me the best chance to watch my children grow. Unfortunately, the financial burden is overwhelming.
