Hi!

As you may know, my sister, Suzy (Laza) Ramirez has been battling breast cancer for the last several months. As a very private and independent person, she and her husband have been carrying the financial burdens, with help of his insurance company. However, bills that insurance won’t pay are piling up with many more yet to come as Suzy has had complications after double mastectomy with an additional hospitalization, and is facing another surgery later with at least one more hospital stay, not to mention the medications!

We often tell those experiencing difficulty to “let me know what I can do to help.” So, as Suzy’s sister, I am reaching out to you because I've finally started a GoFundMe for Suzy’s cancer-related medical expenses . Suzy and Eric were paying for their children’s college education and had a good handle on their finances, but were totally blindsided by not only the physical but also the financial devastation of cancer. While they are reluctant to ask for help, I’m not too proud to ask for friends, family, acquaintances, and the general community to be generous in donating whatever is comfortable to help. Now is the time to make good on our offer to help with “ whatever they need”.
