Stand with Seth

On June 7, Seth sustained a severe cervical spinal cord injury in a mountain biking accident in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He was airlifted to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, where he underwent emergency spinal surgery and spent a week in the ICU.

The goal of this campaign is to ease the financial burden on the family so they can focus their energy where it belongs—on Seth's healing and rehabilitation. We're all manifesting the day when Seth will be able to stand again on his own. Until then, we can stand for him and with him.

A cervical spinal cord injury is among the most serious injuries a person can experience, affecting communication between the brain and the rest of the body. At the moment of the accident, and in the days following, Seth faced significant loss of movement and function. Since then, he has shown encouraging signs of progress, including the return of sensation throughout his body and emerging movement in his arms, hands, and legs. While these gains are meaningful and encouraging, they represent only the earliest steps in what will likely be a very long and intensive rehabilitation journey. The extent of Seth's recovery cannot yet be predicted, but each new movement and milestone provides hope for what lies ahead.

Seth is now beginning months of intensive 24/7 inpatient rehabilitation at Craig Hospital in Denver, widely recognized as one of the nation's leading spinal cord injury rehabilitation centers. This next phase of recovery will focus on maximizing his strength, function, and independence. The road ahead will require determination, hard work, and time, but our goal is simple: to give Seth every possible opportunity to regain mobility, reclaim independence, and return to the life he loves.

Funds raised through this campaign will help support Vicki's lodging near Craig Hospital, adaptive equipment and assistive technology, medical supplies and services not covered by insurance, home accessibility modifications, and other needs that may arise as Seth's recovery progresses.

Seth is a devoted husband, father, friend, and member of our community. Vicki and their family have been deeply grateful for the incredible outpouring of love, encouragement, and support they have received.
