St. Jude Heros
Donation protected
I have registered to run a half marathon as a St. Jude Hero for the Alaska Airlines Rock 'n' Roll Seattle! This is my second half marathon, but this time it is very special to me because I am running for a reason.
As I prepare to run 13.1 miles, I have a goal to raise $3,000 to earn the status as a St. Jude Hero by the time I run the race on June 18th. I specifically chose to run in this race because they partnered with St. Jude, who is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer. I hope you will consider donating to the amazing services St. Jude provides including cancer research, cancer treatment, and doctoral training.
If you’re still wondering why you should donate to support St. Jude or what they do with the donated funds, here are some of the top reasons: First, Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Second, the founder of St. Jude believed that “no child should die in the dawn of life,” and they’ve spent more than a half a century focusing on their mission: Finding cures. Saving children. Third, 75% of the budgeted costs of St. Jude are covered by public contributions, which gives St. Jude the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation. Lastly, St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world.
Every single dollar will help me reach my goal, so truly no donation is too small. Whatever you can do to help, I will be extremely grateful.
Finally, even if you can or cannot donate, it will be very helpful if you could share the fundraising link to any one that you know who would be willing to help. Getting the word out to as many people as possible will be the key to helping me reach my goal, which again is to make a difference in children's lives so they too can have the privilege of waking up strong, happy and healthy someday!
Thank you so much for your support.
