Speedfest is an annual engineering design competition hosted by Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, OK. Student teams compete to design, build, and fly high-performance RC aircraft based on a real-world engineering challenge.

A team of senior aerospace and mechanical engineers have 15 weeks to develop the aircraft from scratch, manufacture multiple airframes, and fly their plane at the Speedfest event. Speedfest draws over 2000 attendees, including college and high school students, industry professionals, professors, and friends and family.

In 2026, the teams are challenged to design high-speed pylon racers, that can both climb and glide up to 3 minutes once the engine is shut off. Team Orange is hard at work designing the plane, and is excited to present their work on the day of Speedfest, April 25th, 2026. We will be producing marketing material as we design, including a professional video, website, and Instagram page.

We are excited to raise money to support our team! We will be using the money to order custom team polos, initial runs of Team Orange merchandise, and plenty of snacks to fuel late-night engineering, manufacturing, and iterations. Would you consider partnering with us to help us reach our goal?
