OVERVIEW

THE ULTIMATE PIZZA MOVIE!!

Special Delivery is an action-packed short live-action film directed and written by Jonathan Hamilton. The film is all about a pizza delivery gone wrong and a talking pizza! Set in a small town a pizza with cosmic abilities enlists the help of a local pizza delivery guy to ensure his safety back home while also fending off those who seek to destroy him. The film mixes action/adventure, sci-fi, and a little bit of heart into one perfect pie. The film is part of Emerson College's BFA Thesis program and will be screened in early 2024!

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

Hi everyone my name is Jonathan Hamilton I'm the Writer/Director of this film. I'm currently a rising senior at Emerson College going for a BFA degree in Film/Video Production. One of my favorite niche things in movies are scenes with pizza in them. There are films like Spider-Man 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze, Home Alone, and even Do The Right Thing that all have awesome pizza scenes. (link to pizza scene playlist down below) I've also found that many of these movies are from the 90s and early 2000s and some of my favorite movies ever were made (follow me on Letterboxd to find out more ;)). The correlation is just a weird oddly comforting mix that I have been really drawn to my whole life. I'm obsessed with the action/adventure and sci-fi genres I'm a huge Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Marvel fan just to name a few.

With this project, I want to put my hat in the ring and make a film that incorporates all of this and my love for filmmaking! I'm looking for this film to show everything I've learned during my time at Emerson and really be a stepping stone into a career in directing. This film has been a passion project of mine for quite some time going through countless different drafts and ideas and I have worked tirelessly to ensure the best story. I know that I'm ready and along with my killer cast & crew I'm prepared to bring something truly special!

WHY WE ARE FUNDRAISING

Well frankly making movies is expensive but most importantly the more we fundraise the cooler shit we get to do. We set the goal at $1,600 those funds will go towards props, camera equipment, transportation and food for our talented student crew. We are all super excited to get to work on this project and it wouldn't be possible without your help.
