HELP, Transport for special needs

Hi

My name is Julie & I'm here to ask for help in securing £450 per child towards travel costs to get them to their places of education.

Previously, this was fully funded by East Cheshire Council. It costs £900.00 from September, for every child. This is unaffordable for every parent with Special Needs children trying to stay in education.

I appreciate that not all costs will be met by the generosity of strangers- this is why the initial request is for 50% of the actual costs.

Hopefully, more will be raised, to ease the financial burden on parents & families, already struggling with the cost of living crisis.

If you know anyone with an SEN child, you'll know the struggles parents & carers face both economically, emotionally & socially. Everything is harder. We often work fewer hours, as we are needed at home - so we earn less.

IT IS VERY UNFAIR THAT WE NOW HAVE TO MEET THE TOTAL COST OURSELVES.
