SoulFest

As some of you may know, the last few years I have been mentoring a group of (now) high school girls.  It has been an amazing and life changing experience; I have learned so much!

This summer, I would really love to take them to SoulFest (http://www.thesoulfest.com/home.html).  My mom used to take me and I remember loving it so much, it sort of felt like leaving the real, painful, world - and going to a paradise.  

The website can give you all the details but it is basically a huge, 5-day Christian music festival.  These girls are from the Troy area and their families have financial and health struggles that makes raising the $490 that they need seem impossible.  I strongly believe this would be a life changing experience for them, like it was for me.  The festival takes place on a mountainside in New Hampshire, surrounded by thousands of loving Christians - an experience NONE of them have EVER had.  I took so much for granted in the way that I was raised, and now all I can do is try to pay it forward.  I will be putting 10% of my paychecks aside from now until we have all the money raised, but my donations alone will NOT be enough (although, that would be nice)

So, please, every dollar goes a long way - anything you can do, even if it's $10 bucks or $1 a week from now until July 31, whatever you can do - please step out in faith and help us out if you're able.  I vow to make this trip a week of spiritual growth for all of us, as much as I am able.
