Hi everyone. my name is Sophia Eckardt and I am excited to announce I was selected to compete in the 2024 International Saddle Seat World Cup in Parys, South Africa! I will be in South Africa for almost two weeks, traveling over 20 hours from New York to train with the team and ultimately compete. There are a number of costs associated including international flights, security (24/7), lodging, food, local transportation, attire and more! Some of these are covered through the US association, although a number are not. This combined with secondary security measures for safety and to have my family present, I'm creating this campaign. This is also outside of traveling to Lexington, Kentucky with the team in July.

Since 2014, I've been training and riding Morgan Horses and have been fortunate to be surrounded by a kind and carrying community in the Morgan Industry. Most recently, I received several accolades while being an honor student (National Honor Society), working and teaching children of all ages to ride.

I am extremely honored to be given the opportunity to represent both our country and community in South Africa while competing on a global stage. To be able to compete at this event; however, I kindly need your support.
