As most of our family and friends know Amber and myself were expecting to bring our daughter Princess Sophia into this world on Febuaruy 18th. Even though we don't understand God's logic or reasoning, he decided to call her home to him on my birthday February 9th by an emergency C-Section.
Amber was 38 weeks pregnant, essentially full term. Sophia's umbilical cord ended up getting wrapped around her neck causing her to go home too early. Sophia Lucille Ruiz was born as a still born at 3:45 pm weighing in at 5 lbs. and 10 oz. measuring at 19" and 3/4" with a head full of the most beautiful brown curly hair any parent could ask for. Her little hands with beautifully manicured nails were barely able to grasp our fingers.
Did we do something to warrant this punishment, is Karma coming back for retribution? Why us? Sophia's nursery was all set up and freshly painted. Our "to go bags" were prepped. It just wasn't in the cards we were dealt with. I know holding onto any type of negative feelings isn't the most constructive thing to do. The only way I can cope with it at the moment is to put my trust into God.
Murphy's Law has a cruel and unusual way with collecting his dues. After just moving from the west coast to the east coast and moving into our new home, our finances are not in ideal conditions. If their are any family members, friends, or people who feel compelled to share; a donation to help with the funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. We know times can be financially difficult, and if that is the case a prayer will suffice. We can use it in our dire time of need.
