Solar Lights for Schools in Uganda

Hi there,
We are raising money to bring solar lights to children in Uganda and Tanzania through the organisation Solar Buddy.
What might seem like a simple "switch" to you, is a huge deal to those who live in areas with no access to lighting and other basic living needs.
Myself, Sarah, Natalie and Sarah (pictured below) are fortunate enough to be travelling to Africa for a vacation throughout December/ January, but it didnt seem right to go and have an amazing experience and not give anything back. So, our goal is to raise as much money as possible to provide schools we visit along the way with eco friendly solar lights. Our aim is to be able to provide three schools with the lights in the following places: Bigodi Village -Uganga, Mutanda Lake - Uganda, Jambiani Village - Tanzania.
You may be asking why solar lights?
Well, currently 18% of the worlds population are living in darkness with no access to electricity. Children who are going to school are losing the opportunity to learn and develop as soon as the sun goes down, or using dangerous kerosene lamps as a short term solution.
Unfortunately the health effects of Kerosene lamps is hugely devastating, with over 4.3 million reported deaths resulting from the air pollution caused, making them unsustainable for the future. Solarbuddy lights are strong, safe and durable, and not to mention solar powered! They are a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution.

Each light costs $25! So donate today, to give the gift of light. 100% of all funds raised will go towards SolarBuddy for the purchase of these lights.
