Solar Water Filter In The Philippines
Donation protected
I am Boden Bubb. I am 12-years-old and I am raising money for a solar water filter in the Philippines so that people there can have fresh water instead of dirty water. Silliman Water Ministry, a part of Silliman University’s College of Engineering and Design, has designed a system they call “SolarPure”, that can process and fill a 20-liter bottle of clean water in 2 minutes. The process takes contaminated water and through 5 filters removes unhealthy sediments and through UV light destroys any living bacteria or amoeba.
The total cost of one portable unit is $3,000. Through the generous matching support of my church, the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco, I only need to raise $1,500 and they will match the rest. With your help, in March 2019 I hope to deliver the funds needed to construct a new unit for a community in the Philippines.
