Who Are We?
Hello, we are the Harmony Science Academy - Euless Solar Car Team ! We are a group of young, diverse, enthusiastic students who have all come together to create the Solar Chariot - a fully functioning car powered entirely by solar panels - and compete in the 2019 Solar Car Challenge. We achieved 7th place in our division during this competitive national challenge, and completed over 80 laps in our car.
Our Project
We are planning to revolutionize our design, creating an all-new vehicle for the 2020 challenge. Based upon an Indycar design, our new solar car will be even faster and more efficient than last year's. With the knowledge and skills we picked up during the previous competition, we are confident that this year we will achieve even more success.
What Do We Need?
Our lab is fully outfitted, so all funding goes directly towards the construction of the car.
$22,000 will fully cover the construction of the car, including the integration of solar panels and other vital parts of the design. This will also cover the fee to enter the competition, travel and transportation costs, and anything else associated with the competition
