Fifteen years ago, Sheeba Ameer, through her lived experience fighting to save her daughter from leukemia, also realized how hard and devastating it is for families with little or no means to face a similar situation. Out of that pain and purpose, Solace was born — a charitable trust created to ensure that no parent ever has to choose between treatment and survival.
Today, Solace cares for over 5,000 children battling long-term illnesses such as cancer, thalassemia, cerebral palsy, nephrotic syndrome, heart disease, and epilepsy.
Through 9 centers across Kerala Solace provides medical, emotional, and educational support to children and their families.
- 5,000 + children supported with medical and social care
- 800 + families receive monthly food kits
- ₹ 6 crores (≈ $720 K) in direct assistance every year
- 200 + volunteers and youth working hands-on in homes, hospitals, and communities
Sheeba Ameer believes that the greatest heartbreak is seeing children face the threat of death simply because their parents cannot afford vital medical treatment. To her, there is no pain deeper than witnessing such a devastating reality.
Our Mission in 2025
This season, the Solace Boston Chapter invites our New England Community — friends, churches, and well-wishers — to stand together once again.
Your generosity will help us:
- Provide life-saving medicines and therapies
- Supply monthly food and school-fee support for families in crisis
