Socorro's Services Fund

It has been the hardest day to endure as we have now loss our mother her battle with cancer has ended on 2.10.18 @ 9:55pm my brothers and I are heart broken but know she is no longer in pain we know heaven has gained our guardian angel and will watch over all of us. We thank everyone for your continued support, prayers and phone calls during the most difficult time in our lives. One never knows pain until you loose one of the closest loves of your lives. We will miss her more than one can imagine as she was our rock. Lopez family and Gonzalez family

Per her request I am starting this page for My mom as many if you know as Socorro on 2nd Street,  has been a strong, loving, giving  woman her whole life hard working and always willing to give to everyone even when she has not much to give.

In 2016 she was diagnose with uterine cancer she underwent surgery followed by chemo. We were all relived when she was clear of that until Nov 2017 when she had issues breathing she thought it was just pneumonia and was sent to hospital for weeks only to find out that now she has lung cancer at a stage 4 while the family is trying to understand how we got to this so quickly is hard to deal with mentally and emotionally she is the mother of 4 children and 9 grandchildren that is our rock left in the Lopez family as our father past away back in 2012. She has lived these last years with solely the help of family, friends and neighbors all the good she has done for all of us in the past is now repaying her with getting her through her medial condition and living day to day with whatever little money she has.  Social security has denied her benefits, Cal fresh as also denied her benefits, therefor instead of fighting for services we are turning to you our family, friends, neighbors and community to help fund her for her last moments to enjoy life with out worrying about how her house bills will be paid or if she will have money to go to market not only to feed herself, as she loves to do is feed anyone that hungry or visits her at her home once she is released from the hospital. It takes a village to care for children now its our turn to care for her with her illness.  

We would like to ask you all for anything you can give to help her enjoy the life she has with out fighting with state and local services for help as this can take time and effort just trying to explain reasons why she needs help. 

All of her children have taken turns assisting her, some of us have minimized our work load to help and be there for here. When some in your family is ill you do all you can to assist leaving behind your job as it will be there later when you no longer have you parent by your side. You donations will help her current living expenses as well as any extras needed to assist if her benefits can not cover it. Any remaining funds will assist family with services for her afterlife.

Our parents always thought us never to ask for anything but at this time we all have to take a step back and ask cause we are at the point where we will truly need it and will need it. 

If you can not donate we completely understand we ask if you can please add my mom to your daily prayers "Socorro Lopez" as well all know prayer can help heal or ease the pain she can endure during this time.
