Help Us Expand Our Sensory Project

Hello, We are the Snaith Family. We have 2 Autistic Children, Gracie and Christian along with 2 non Autistic children, Tommy and Aiden. My name is Shawn Snaith. I am a Critical Care Paramedic and my wife Elizabeth is a Behavioral Health Specialist. We have created the Snaith Family ASD Sensory Project to help with providing Sensory Kits for our local 911 service that I work for. We are looking to raise money to help with our Sensory Project, revamping those kits, restocking supplies, as well as moving towards creating a non-profit organization and covering filing fees with the State to be able to receive grants to help serve more EMS Services around the Area and State of Iowa. We have been doing a lot of the funding ourselves as well as the help from my service and we would like to make our vision bigger and reach more communities.

If able to get the funding, your donations would go towards new and more durable bags with a logo, as well as better Sensory items that we can give to kids to lower stimulation and creating weighted lap pads to help when we first responders encounter any individual with Autism or Sensory Processing Disorder. Our family started these bags with some cheap headphones, blankets, sunglasses and small squishies and allowed patients to keep the items when we found something that worked for them. We want to keep this going to be able to show our commitment towards providing excellent care to these individuals but with better supplies and more realistic supplies that are proven to help.

We are very passionate about this project, and I myself have personally used these Sensory kits to help lower stimulation to Autistic children on a 911 call and they work amazing. Thank you in advance for any help that we may receive to be able to make this dream come true.
