Greetings Family, God bless you all. We find ourselves in an urgent situation where we urgently need your help. My mother is a sweet woman who after being widowed at an early age, refused to give up. Instead she dedicated her life to raising my sister and me. She's always been there for us, and it breaks our hearts that now that she needs us, that we're not in a financial position where we can help her.
Mommy is 96 years old now, and has been holding on in spite of various health issues. It is her fervent desire to stay in her own home, so my sister has been her live in care giver for the past 17 years.
The past 2 years have been hard with more frequent hospital visit, and stays. The increased medical bills have caused us to fall behind on the property taxes, and as a result the township has scheduled her home for Sheriff's sale later this month. To stop the sale and save her home we need to pay about $6,000 in less by the 20th of September.
I remember that this awesome community was there for me when my husband and I were fighting to save my home, and when he passed away in the midst of that fight. I thank you again for your help, prayers, and support. For this reason I turn to you now because I know you to be a kind, compassionate community that comes together in times of need. We are in desperate need.
My mother is a retired teacher who taught in the Philadelphia School System for over 30 years. During those years, I saw give of herself, and her resourses; buying text books for her classes when the school said they weren't in the budget. I saw her give up her lunch period to tutor students who needed extra help, or to share her lunch with underpriviledged students whose parents couldn't afford to provide lunch for them. Giving has always come naturally for my mom, and now she is the one who is in need.
Please help us. Please forward this message to everyone you know. God bless you for whatever you can do.
