Sloane Everly Baker was born on Tuesday February 23rd and by Wednesday, had to be airlifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital due to a congenital heart defect that was not found in prenatal ultrasounds.
At one week old, she has already had one surgery to correct a Coarctation of the Aorta and is being monitored closely to see how her heart handles that fix. Depending on how her heart and body handles that, we could be looking at a few bigger surgeries to reconstruct the heart.
This was all very unexpected for her family and she will be in the hospital for several weeks at least to make sure her heart is functioning properly before she can go home.
Any financial help that can be given to help with medical bills is extremely appreciated as this is a very stressful time for the family.
