Skylar eye surgery

Last couple years skylar has struggled with her eye sight. We found out she had karatsconus in both eyes with one being worse (left) . July 20 2015 monday we went to amarillo to a cornea specialist. He said the left eye is to far gone and she will be blind in that eye within couple of years. He wants to put all of our focus into saving her right eye. We cant cure karatsconus but we can stop it. A new procedure called collagen crosslinking needs to be done to stop it in its tracks in that right eye. Surgery 3000 per eye and is not covered yet with insurance.

We went to Dallas today for a second opinion. Thanks to some family pulling strings, and a San Angelo doctor that made it happen. Dr Clarke Newman in Dallas thinks it's impairative  to do surgery in both eyes asap... yes ; he confirms left eye is bad but he does not believe it's at a lost cause in a 12 year old... he has dealt with the cornea for over 30 years. He agrees with Amarillo doctor on lots of things, except not saving that left eye, she is 12... new total for both eyes is 6000$ . Anyyway that anyone can help will be greatly appreciated!
Prayers are working, and yes a long road ahead of us, but we feel this is the right course to take.
