My name is Brandon Powell I'm 16 years old and the student union president at Leicester college.

we have recently experienced the passing of the staff member Lee Bates who lost his battle to cancer in recent times.

Lee wasn't a ordinary staff member although was quiet to some, when I passed Lee he always spared time to crack a joke or smile alongside wondering how the union is doing. Lee would go the extra mile to offer a helping hand and never failed to see the good in people. It was the little gestures that we will Remember Lee for.

That's why in June I am taking the jump (Skydive) on behalf of LC Student Union to honour Lee and raise money for Macmillan Cancer, to support those currently fighting the battle of cancer in hope to find a cure.
