Noah's Service Dog Skippy

Donation protected
Our goal with this fundraiser is to provide Noah with a companion that can travel with him, assist him with mobility, anxiety levels,  and attend school with him as his support animal and friend.  We have the dog, a rescue puppy from the shelter, named Skippy. Now we just need your help to make it a reality!

Noah is the bravest kid I know! He was born missing the left side of his heart. After three heart surgeries before his 4th birthday and a full heart transplant in 2006 Noah has been through more than most! After Noahs' heart transplant he suffered 2 strokes and years of seizures.

All of these things have left Noah with an unsteady gait and many emotional issues. Noah suffers from anxiety disorder and PTSD stemming from the major traumas his little body has endured.

Noah's stature has been affected by his heart troubles, he stands at 4'4" at 13 years old, and has mobility issues and his health issues wipe him out physically.

We have wanted to apply for a service animal for many years but Noah's brother Spencer was diagnosed with cancer shortly after Noah's transplant. Needless to say time and resources were stretched to the limits. There were also problems with the boys immune systems that made us keep our pets to a minimum.

Now I am happy to say that Spencer has been cancer free for 5 years. Noah however still has to visit Stanford frequently for biopsies as he has been dealing with rejection since transplant.

If you have been lucky enough to meet Noah and spend time with our family you know how deserving he is of an animal that will make his life easier. Please help however you can :)

Love,
Noah's mommy
